If you are an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering student you need to get an OJT (On Job Training) after completion of your course of 2 and half years. This training must be conducted in a DGCA approved organization. So that you must be very careful while selecting the organization for you OJT. According to DGCA if you are satisfied with minimum experience only you can write the License exam. Otherwise you can’t. Here I can suggest you some Organizations providing OJT for you. You need to send your resume by contacting the authority or the personnel. Sometimes you need to directly contact the organization in order to arrange the training. Anyways you need to wait for the good things to happen.

This information is not at all useful .... I am sure most of the AME students know that there exists all these companies, but the point is how many of these are giving OJT opportunity.... Again completing OJT is necessary to get your course completion certificate from college..... Is that enough ???? What about jobs ....????? These days it very hard to get jobs in airlines / other operators ... It doesnt end there even if u get job after slogging as un paid trainee for 2 or 3 years.. whats the salary offered for technicians? its peanut..... again he has to slog for 2/3 years as technician with very less salary... Has to undergo all humiliation before friends and family for taking this course.. Best joke is most companies pay more for ground staff than for technicians because ground staff demand is more.. and AME technicians supply is plenty in market.. AME technician has to undergo all this humiliation... Is this justified...? Neither DGCA nor any airline unions oppose this strategy of airlines to pay less for technicians... People have taken it as granted... Unless DGCA/Union HRD ministry considers AME as equivalent to degree nothing can change.. Even if it doesnt fetch jobs atleast it provides opportunities for students to do higher education in some other management field.. Atleast that will give them good jobs.. All AME aspirants should work on building their qualification first.. Get some other degree along with AME course.. it will definitely help u in long run..
